No more kittehs at home.

:(

It is spring, though. All the local shelters are probably overflowing with cats needing good homes. Just sayin'.

Such sad news. My heart goes out to you & your folks. I've always had at least one cat too. I can't remember a time when I didn't have cats. :-( Are your parents inclined to adopt a pair of kittens? Not right away of course.

I'm so sorry, dora... even two dogs can't make up for three kitters. The house must feel very lonely. I think their "human" names indicate how deeply you all related to them as members of the family. My condolences. (((hugs)))
True, true...I think money is sort of an issue right now, unfortunately. But if the bummedness doesn't go away I'm going to have to prescribe prescription strength kittehs from the shelter...our vet prescribed Christine and Mary Beth to us, actually, a couple of months after mom lost her most beloved cat, Little Red, at the age of two.
They might eventually, like I mentioned to Teho above, money is an issue. :(

Thanks, Denise! (((((((((HUGS)))))))))
Most Def a part of the family. Our philosophy is always to treat animals as equals in our home. I really cannot even tell you how wonderful my parents are to their critters. They made her last days extremely comfortable - they even hydrated her with an IV, they've done that for all their cats.

I hope you're holding up OK. I've been thinking about you... (((HUGS)))
If only the rest of the world were as kind...

Thanks for thinking about me, d. I'm holding up ok. Vox is my anti-depressant.
(((hugs))) to your parents, I am so sorry.
Good! ((((HUGS))))

Scritches to Buz and Sophie, too.
Thanks! (((HUGS)))
so sorry hon....*hugs*
Dora, I'm so sorry for you and your family. The loss of a loved one - animal or human - is always so hard. As Teho pointed out, though, there are probably many other kitties needing a loving home these days if your family is ready.

And I love that two of them were given the full names for Cagney and Lacey. :)
Thanks, EF! (((HUGS)))

I'm glad you like the names...heh heh...we tried to do the last names but ended up just calling them by the first names all the time...
My condolences, too. They will feel a certain energy missing from the place. In a home, even when the cats are out of sight, you still know they're there.
I'm so sorry, Dora.

I'm sorry that the little calico spirit has left your houses. But a spirit can never be snuffed out.

When the time, money and emotions are right, it will be time to give another deserving creature a new, bright home.

I always tear up a bit when kittehs pass. I had to put one to sleep long ago because he had feline leukemia. We made him as comfortable as possible, but he only held out for a week after being diagnosed before we had to take him to the vets one last time. <sigh> Pass along some extra strength (((HUGS))) for you and your family.
Awww =( This has been such a time of death. *HUG*
Well, now she's frolicking in the big catnip field in the sky
Oh Dora, I'm so sorry. :-( I'm glad you got a good snorgle in last month.
Thanks ever so for all your kind thoughts and remarks. I am so glad Dora got that pic of Mary when she was home for her Baw's funeral, but I wish you coulda seen her and her litter mate in their primes. Those pix are pre-computer. We called them the Glamour Pussies. They were so gorgeous, and so sweet. Actually, MB was the sweet one. Christine was quite bossy. We called her The Manager. One time when Dora was home she (Christine) got up on Mike's lap lecturing him about something, and Townesie, who was stretched out on the couch between them with his head on Dora's lap looked up, took aim and karate kicked her right off Mike's lap! I saw the whole thing and it was no accident! Never a dull moment around here, that's for sure! But the house feels so empty, even with two big yellow dogs. And they really miss her, too! Have been sniffing at her "place" in the living room, where Dora photograhed her, above. She was Lady Day's first friend when we brought her home from that awful Puppy Mill situation. LD adored Mary Beth. Thanks again for your kind thoughts. I don't know if at this point in our lives we'll ever have another cat. We'll have to see. Maybe an adult rescue who we know likes dogs already. But not right now. Too much to process. Dora's MOM
I'm so sorry to hear, Dora. (((HUGS)))
OMG, those are perfect names for calico/torties!

Farewell, floof.

Adult rescue would be great, like you did for Lady D.

Awww sorry about all the furry losses, esp the latest, MBL. RIP.

*hugs*
